2. General information about data processing

We process personal data only where this is necessary to provide and securely operate our website, respond to your enquiries, take steps before entering into a contract, perform a contract or analyse and improve our online services.

Depending on the processing activity, we rely in particular on the following legal bases:

  • your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR;
  • steps taken before entering into a contract or performance of a contract pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) GDPR;
  • compliance with a legal obligation pursuant to Article 6(1)(c) GDPR;
  • our legitimate interests pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR;
  • Section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 for storing information on your device or accessing information already stored on it.

3. Provision of the website and server log files

When you access our website, the web server processes technical information required to provide the website. This may include:

  • IP address;
  • date and time of access;
  • page or file requested;
  • amount of data transferred;
  • referrer URL;
  • browser type and version;
  • operating system;
  • access status or HTTP status code.

This processing is necessary to provide the website, maintain its stability and security and identify technical errors or abusive access.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing a secure and functional website pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Our website is operated by an external hosting provider that processes these data on our behalf. Server log files are retained only for as long as necessary to ensure technical operation, analyse errors and prevent abusive access. They may be retained for longer if required to investigate a specific security incident or comply with a legal obligation.

4. Cookies and consent management with Clickskeks

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are technically necessary to provide the website and its essential functions. Other technologies, particularly those used for analytics, advertising or external media, are used only if you have given your consent.

We use the Clickskeks consent-management platform provided by Papoo Software & Media GmbH, Auguststraße 4, 53229 Bonn, Germany, to manage and document your choices.

Clickskeks stores your consent selection so that we can apply your preferences and demonstrate that consent was obtained. The following information may be processed:

  • your consent selection;
  • date and time of your selection;
  • information about your browser and device;
  • a technical identifier;
  • your IP address, where applicable.

This processing is necessary to implement your choices and operate the legally required consent-management system. The legal bases are Article 6(1)(c) and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and Section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021.

You can change your selection or withdraw your consent at any time using the “Cookie Settings” link at the bottom of the website.

Technically necessary cookies may be used without your consent where they are required to provide a service that you have expressly requested.

5. Language selection

Our website uses a technically necessary cookie to remember your selected language. This allows us to display the website in your preferred language when you return.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing a user-friendly multilingual website pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR in conjunction with Section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021.

6. Google Tag Manager

We use Google Tag Manager, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Tag Manager is used to technically manage and trigger other website tags. It does not create separate user profiles itself. Services integrated through Google Tag Manager are activated according to their category and the selection you make in the cookie banner.

Where personal data are processed in connection with the technical provision of Google Tag Manager, the legal basis is your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021.

7. Google Analytics 4

If you have given your consent through the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics helps us understand how our website is used. This enables us to improve our content, user journeys and the technical quality of our online services.

The following information may be processed:

  • pages visited;
  • date, time and duration of your visit;
  • interactions with the website;
  • approximate geographical region;
  • referrer URL;
  • browser, operating system and device type;
  • technical identifiers;
  • information about campaigns and traffic sources;
  • IP address during technical transmission.

Google Analytics uses pseudonymous identifiers. We do not receive reports that directly identify you, but aggregated reports about the use of our website.

The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021. You can withdraw your consent at any time with future effect through “Cookie Settings”.

Google Analytics event data are retained for two months. User data are retained for fourteen months. The retention period for user data is reset when new user activity occurs. These settings apply to user-level and event-level data; aggregated standard reports may remain available for longer.

We have entered into a data-processing agreement with Google.

Google may also transfer data to Google LLC and other Google companies in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Where a transfer is not covered by an adequacy decision, the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission may also be used.

Further information is available in Google’s Privacy Policy:

8. Google Ads and conversion measurement

We use Google Ads to advertise our services through Google Search and dynamic advertisements. Our Google Analytics account is linked to Google Ads.

If you have given your consent, information about your website visit and interactions may be used to measure the performance of our advertisements, evaluate traffic sources and optimise our campaigns. This may allow us to determine whether a website visit or a particular action followed an advertisement that was displayed or clicked.

The following data may be processed:

  • pages visited;
  • interactions and events;
  • date and time of the visit;
  • technical device and browser information;
  • approximate geographical region;
  • advertising and cookie identifiers;
  • information about the advertisement or campaign.

The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021. You can withdraw your consent at any time through “Cookie Settings”.

As part of the link between the services, information collected through Google Analytics may be used in Google Ads. Google may also process data in the United States. The safeguards described in the Google Analytics section apply to these transfers.

9. Google Maps

Our website uses Google Maps, a mapping service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Maps allows you to view our location and plan your route.

Google Maps is loaded only after you have consented to the relevant external-media category or service through the cookie banner. When the map is loaded, your IP address, device and browser information, location information and details of the page visited may be transmitted to Google.

If you are signed in to a Google account, Google may associate your use of the map with your account.

The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021. You can withdraw your consent at any time through “Cookie Settings”.

Google may also process data in the United States. The safeguards described in the Google Analytics section apply to these transfers.

10. Google reCAPTCHA

We use Google reCAPTCHA v3 in our forms. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

  • referrer URL;
  • browser and device information;
  • operating system;
  • date and duration of access;
  • mouse movements, keyboard input and other interactions;

The analysis takes place in the background and may begin when you access a page containing a form protected by reCAPTCHA.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in securing our website and protecting our forms against automated and abusive submissions pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Google may also process the data in the United States. The safeguards described in the Google Analytics section apply to these transfers.

11. Rank Math and the 404 Monitor

We use the Rank Math WordPress plugin for search engine optimisation and to identify unavailable pages.

The 404 Monitor operates in Simple Mode. When you attempt to access an address that does not exist on our website, the following information is recorded in our WordPress database:

  • the unavailable address or URI requested;
  • the number of requests;
  • the time of the most recent request.

In Simple Mode, Rank Math does not store IP addresses, referrer information or user-agent data in the 404 log.

These data help us identify and correct broken links, outdated addresses and technical problems. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing a technically reliable, user-friendly and search-engine-optimised website pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

The logs are reviewed regularly and deleted when they are no longer required for error analysis and correction.

Rank Math’s search-engine-optimisation functions are used to manage page titles, meta descriptions, redirects and technical information for search engines. Where these functions do not process personal data relating to website visitors, they do not result in any additional processing of personal data.

Information marked as mandatory is required to process your enquiry. Without this information, we may be unable to respond.

Enquiries are deleted once they have been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention requirements, contractual obligations or legitimate interests require continued storage.

13. Requesting a credit-card payment link

You can request a secure payment link through our website. We process your name, email address, telephone number, company where applicable and the content of your message.

We use these details to review your request, create the payment link and send it to you.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

The payment itself takes place only after you access the separate payment link. We may use Stripe as the payment-service provider. For customers in the European Economic Area, the provider is generally Stripe Payments Europe, Limited, 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin, Ireland.

Stripe processes the data required for the payment under its own data-protection responsibility. This may include contact, contractual, payment, device and transaction data. Stripe may also process data outside the European Economic Area.

Where service providers process personal data on our behalf, we enter into the necessary data-processing agreements.

18. Transfers to third countries

When individual services are used, particularly services provided by Google or Stripe, personal data may be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area.

Such transfers take place only where the requirements of Articles 44 et seq. GDPR are met. Relevant safeguards may include an adequacy decision by the European Commission, certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

Despite these safeguards, countries outside the European Union may provide a level of data protection that differs from the level guaranteed within the European Union.

You can exercise your rights by contacting office@deinelagerbox.at.

You can withdraw consent at any time through “Cookie Settings” or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.

21. Right to lodge a complaint
